Wise Owls Montessori is a sessional service providing excellent care and education for the children in our local community. We require a qualified, experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team of professionals. The successful candidate must have a Childcare Qualification with a minimum of Fetac Level 6 in Early Childhood Care & Education. The role of the job is to run the day to day operations of the Montessori room with also having full responsibility for the children within the service. Using the Montessori Method of teaching as the curriculum and incorporating play into the day for the children. Developing a curriculum based on the children’s emergent interests. First Aid and Manuel Handling would be preferred but is not required. Duties will include:

  • Assist in planning in advance & Implementing the daily activities of the Montessori Group
  • Assisting with the documentation of the Montessori Curriculum, Progress & Lesson Plans Using the Siolta Standards & Aistear Themes in the Classroom Providing Total Care for Children in the group
