16hrs/Two days training in Wicklow with the option to be accredited by the OCN.
If you choose to become accredited, there are a few extra requirements:
Accreditation: To go on and gain the OCN Level 1 Award in Forest School Ethos and Principles accreditation is by choice. Once participants have completed the 16hrs/two days training, you simply complete the short workbook and write a small amount about what you observe at an actual forest school session with children.
Complete a short workbook: To be accredited involves participants completing a practical workbook (time will be allocated for completing this during the course).
Time: To observe a Forest School session will require an additional half a day midweek (2.5hrs) to observe us, or another Forest School Leader, working with a local school/Early Year’s group. In total (including the 2 days/16hrs training course) this is a committment of 2.5 days.
Cost for accreditation: This has an additional cost of €90 per person for OCN registration and marking to receive an OCN Level 1 Award.
