Qualifications

 

The National Standards for Early Years in the Rep. of Ireland, which applies to all practitioners working in the early years sector, came into effect from September 2015.

The Child Care Regulations require all staff working directly with children in early years services to hold a minimum qualification of Level 5 or equivalent by 31st December 2016.

The requirement under the ECCE contract is that all pre-school leaders must hold a Level 6 qualification came into effect on 31st December 2016.
