The Implementation Plan describes the ambitious steps that will be taken in the initial implementation phase – from 2019 to 2021. Its development was led by an Inter-Departmental Group chaired by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
The DCYA has launched a new web-page where you will find free, online CPD resources, developed and made available through the cooperation of a number of agencies. The resources are designed to support service planning and practitioners’ professional development. Further free, online CPD resources will be added to the web-page over the coming days and weeks.
The web-page includes templates for recording CPD activities carried out, to support services to demonstrate compliance with the requirement of the DCYA Temporary Covid-19 Wage Subsidy Childcare Scheme that services should engage, where possible, in training and CPD during the closure period. See link below.
We encourage you to keep a record of the online resources you use and your learning from them. Keeping a record will help you keep track of your professional development, and may be a tool your manager can use to support you. To help this process we have provided a template form which you can download here.
To help plan and record your team’s CPD activities, you can download and use the Service Manager’s Continuing Professional Development Service Record. You should keep the completed record on file as you may need it for compliance checks. You can download the document here.
