Here are the important dates and information to note for the week 14th May – 18th May 2018.
Further to the announcement posted to the PIP Portal on 26.10.17, please note the following:
If your service currently offers ECCE in addition to CCS/P you may be entitled to a top-up payment for eligible registrations.
In order to qualify, your service must have been awarded the following under ECCE 2017:
Top-up payment will then be issued for:
Any child attending CCS or CCSP who would have otherwise been eligible to attend for ECCE i.e. any child born between 1st January 2013 and 31st March 2015 currently registered at your service for CCS/P instead of ECCE.
Payment will be issued over the summer months (date to be confirmed) by way of a special allocation (single payment).
The calculation is currently being prepared, but we can confirm that payment will be based on the rates your service is currently receiving for Higher Capitation (€10.50 per child per 5 day week) and LINC (€2.00 per child per 5 day week).

The last batch payment for the current programme call will be made 1st June 2018.
Prior to this date, all services are requested to review their AIM Level 7 allocation by C.O.B 23rd May to ensure:
Weekly catch – up payments for newly approved applications will continue to be made to services until mid-July.

On May 14th Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Dr Katherine Zappone announces ‘key partnership’with National Parents Council ‘to give parent’s a voice in early years care and education’. This will involve the following:
The National Parents Council are to provide dedicated supports to parents of children in early years settings. A Series of workshops for parents with children ‘transitioning’ from pre-school to primary will commence in the near future. Further dedicated supports to follow later in the year. Please note that Pobal have scheduled necessary maintenance of IT systems on Saturday 19th May and Sunday 20th May 2018. This will mean that there will be no access to any Pobal systems during this period. This includes the PIP Portal.
