If you wish to register children starting ECCE in April before the Easter holidays, the registrations are being opened early. See below for details.

Early ECCE registrations
Normally registrations for ECCE open 7 days before the starting date. However, if you have children starting ECCE in April you will be able to register them early. You don’t have to use these dates however. If the child is due to start on 9 April, you can register them on PIP from Wednesday 21 March. If the child is due to start ECCE on 16 April, you can register them from Wednesday 28 March.
The Leadership for Inclusion in the Early Years (LINC) special purpose award course is run by the LINC consortium. Applications are now open, and you can access the application process here. The course consists of 6 modules delivered through both on-line and face-to-face sessions. All the information about the course can be found here. Childcare Professionals Morning Event
Following on from our very successful Childcare Professionals Day in November we are holding a mini Childcare Professionals Day on Saturday 12th of May in The Glenview Hotel 9.30am -1.00pm. The three one hour sessions will consist of Yoga for Children, Helping children to think and communicate well using the P4C approach (Philosophy for children) and Exploration of Curriculum Foundations within the context of Childrens art experiences.

This free workshop explores how Story Telling can be used to support children’s learning and development in a fun and meaningful way. It will provide examples of how to engage children in dynamic and engaging storytelling activities and will demonstrate various techniques to explore how this wonderful activity can be used to promote children’s learning and development by Early Years practitioners.

As per Appendix 2 of your ECCE contract (SEE BELOW), WCCC has arranged 17 courses in Wicklow which started in 2017 and will finish in July 2018.

AIM Level 1 – The Registered Provider will engage with the CCC and participate in the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Charter and Guidelines training. On completion of the training, the Registered Provider must sign up to a National Inclusion Charter and create their own Early Childhood Care and Education National Inclusion Policy”
