Early Years Sector Profile 2016/2017 launched
Minister Katherine Zappone yesterday launched the 2016/2017 Early Years Sector Profile developed and published by Pobal for the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. The report, which presents an overview of the early years sector in Ireland for the academic year 2016 / 2017, is based on survey responses from 3,707 services (84% of all childcare facilities) in May 2017 and information from the childcare ICT system (PIP). The 2016 / 2017 Early Years Sector Profile Report is available to view and download on the pobal website.
Due to the full enactment of the Child protection bill, we have been asked to suspend all child protection training to allow for the updating of materials and presentations.
As every service will be required to have a safeguarding statement we will be providing training early in the New Year to ensure you all have the information you need. We will keep you posted on training dates. In the meantime, there are several helpful documents on the Tusla website which you can find here.
