Here are the important dates and information to note for this week 27th July 2018.

    Grant Agreements 2018/2019

Please be advised the Grant Agreements for 2018/2019 are now available on the PIP portal for service providers to review.  You will need to sign your grant agreements before you can register any children for 2018/2019.

    Fee Policies

We would ask services who have uploaded their fee policies to check their status on PIP.  For those in draft they need to be completed and submitted, and those queried please amend and resubmit.

You will need to have approved fees lists and calendars for the return of the children in September. We have to approve fees lists and will not be able to respond quickly enough if everyone waits until the last week in August to submit them.

If you can do them now, you will have them checked and approved in plenty of time and won’t be putting yourselves under pressure in late August/early September.

For services who still have to commence  your  Fees list on PIP please familiarise yourself with the “How to Guide” which is up on PIP as there are some changes for 2018 particularly page 5.

If you need any assistance please contact us.

    Optional Extras

Please find a link to the DCYA Childcare Funding Programme Optional Extras Guide below –

DCYA Childcare Funding Programme Optional Extras Guide 2018-2019

When drawing up your fees lists remember the following:

Additional charges must be ‘optional’ and parents must be free to opt out or in.

Additional charges must be fair – you cannot charge for something that is normally part of the preschool provision i.e. your fee-paying parents would get without paying extra.

Be specific about what the parents are being expected to pay for. If you are going to charge for late collection, specify what that means.
