Here are the important dates and information to note for this week 13th July 2018.
There are no deadlines this week
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
Please see notice on PIP re Compliance visits for those services that are open during the summer months.
Following a review of Pobal’s Online Support opening hours, please note that during July Online Support will operate 9 – 5 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 10 am – 5pm on Wednesday to facilitate staff training.
These changes are being introduced to increase the number of staff available to answer queries at peak hours.
To contact Online Support call 01 5117222 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Pobal website has been recently upgraded. This means the current saved link you use to access the PIP portal may not work.
Please log into your PIP and save the link in the announcement to your favourites so that you can access the PIP portal easily.
We would ask services who have uploaded their fee policies to check their status on PIP. For those in draft they need to be completed and submitted, and those queried please amend and resubmit.
For services who still have to commence your Fees list on PIP please familiarise yourself with the “How to Guide” as there are some changes for 2018.
Please see here for the How To Guides – which are also available on PIP. If you need any assistance please contact us.
Please find a link to the DCYA Childcare Funding Programme Optional Extras Guide below –
When drawing up your fees lists remember the following:
Additional charges must be ‘optional’ and parents must be free to opt out or in.
Additional charges must be fair – you cannot charge for something that is normally part of the preschool provision i.e. your fee-paying parents would get without paying extra.
Be specific about what the parents are being expected to pay for. If you are going to charge for late collection, specify what that means.
Bilingual Leaflets for Early Years Practitioners and Parents
