As you may be aware, a range of legislative and regulatory changes are afoot within the early years sector, including registration; the introduction of National Standards and minimum qualification requirements as well as an updated Early Years Inspection process (yet to be implemented). Under the new inspection process, Early Years Inspectors will make recommendations to a ‘Registrar’ (Principal Registration & Inspection Officer) who will be responsible for making the final decision on whether or not a service is granted re-registration and with which conditions attached.
There are 4 whole time and permanent posts available.
Posts will be assigned to National Office for Children & Families and based in locations aligned to the current CFA Regional administrative areas. The Principal Registration and Inspection Officer, will be responsible for the implementation of the requirements of Part 12 of the Child & Family Agency Act 2013. The post holder will be responsible for a predetermined geographical area and will manage and support the inspection and administrative team in that area.
The Salary Scale (as at 01/07/13) for the post is: €63,886-€73,754 per annum.
