    Do you work with Children or Vulnerable Adults?

    Do you know that Garda Vetting will soon become mandatory?

    Are you prepared?

     As part of Social Inclusion Week 2013 the County Wicklow Volunteer Centre and County Wicklow Sports Partnership will present a free seminar on Garda Vetting on the evening of Thursday 14th November in Wicklow town. The seminar will look at the new Garda Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Act 2012 and the impact it will have on organisations whose clients or members are children or vulnerable adults.

    For the first time the National Vetting Bureau (Children & Vulnerable Persons) Act will provide a legislative basis for the mandatory vetting of persons who wish to undertake certain work or activities relating to children or vulnerable persons. This seminar will address

    •  Who will need to be Garda Vetted?
    •  What action your organisation should take now?
    •  Whose responsibility is it to ensure vetting is carried out?
