    Healthy Ireland Smart Start Health Promotion Programme for Pre-school Services

    Skilled and Experienced Trainers Required

     

    The BCCN is a national voluntary organisation, based in the southern border counties.  Established in 1997, the organisation exists to support the attainment of high quality standards in Early Years and After School services to facilitate the promotion of children’s health, well-being, learning and development. The work of the organisation is currently supported through funding from the Department of Children and Youth Affairs and the Department of Social Protection. The BCCN in partnership with the Health Promotion and Improvement Division of the Health Service Executive now seeks to extend their panel of skilled and experienced trainers to deliver the Healthy Ireland Smart Start Health Promotion Programme for Pre-school Services.

     

    The programme will be delivered to staff from Pre-school services in each of the twenty six counties, beginning in October 2014. Successful Trainers must have a proven track record of delivering training through an adult participatory approach, be available to attend 3-4 days of training over two weekends in September and be free to deliver this 21 hour programme of training on a weekly basis from October – early December including one Saturday. On successful completion of this programme further programmes will be delivered in 2015. For additional information visit the BCCN website at www.bccn.ie.

    Interviews will take place on 11th and 12th September 2014, in a central location.
