• National Training Fund announced by Minister Fitzgerald

    Minister Frances Fitzgerald’s allocates €900,000 in funding to support Level 5 and Level 6 training programmes for those already working in the early childhood care and education sector. 

    From September 2015, all staff in existing services must have a Level 5 qualification in early childhood care and education and team leaders will have to have a Level 6 qualification (or equivalent).

    Early Childhood Ireland will deliver these programmes which are fully accessible to participants right around the country through a combination of their online and classroom based learning.  If you require any further clarification please contact the ECI Training Department 01 4057100.

    If you require FETAC/QQI Level 5 or Level 6, you can now avail of these at a reduced price of €25 per component/module i.e. €200 for a full major award of 8 components/modules.

    Please note that further funds are to be made available in 2014 to support Fetac Level 5 and 6 training. Further information will be posted once details have been clarified.
