You may have received a letter and form from Gordon Jeyes, the CEO of the new Child & Family Agency and man in charge of the country’s Pre-School Inspectors. In light of the revelations in the recent Primetime programmes, there is a review of the inspection regime under way in an effort to improve outcomes for children and also, hopefully to make them clearer for providers as well.
Whilst we understand that the survey is not mandatory, it should be seen as a good opportunity to engage with the people in charge of your inspections. Gordon Jeyes has indicated in the letter a deadline for feedback of the end of the June.
The survey should be returned directly to your local HSE Inspector (the address is supplied). Please do not send this survey to the County Childcare Committee.
