I’d like to draw your attention to some information that has been sent to us by the various approved training providers which may assist you in choosing which training provider to pursue your studies with.
Please note that WCCC does not recommend or guarantee the quality of any of the approved trainers and are passing this literature supplied to us by the training providers onwards for information purposes only.
For those of you that have elected to study in a classroom (as opposed to the online or blended options) we suggest that you confirm with your preferred training provider where these classes are likely to take place. Training providers will need to reach minimum numbers of learners to make a class viable so it is important that you are reasonably confident that the class will take place within a reasonable distance of travel.
KWETB (formerly known as Wicklow VEC) need to firm up how many learners wish to carry out their classroom based study with them in order to firm up which of their centres in Wicklow (Bray and Wicklow Town currently proposed) or Kildare (Naas and Athy) have sufficient numbers to host stand alone classes.
If you wish to study at one of KWETB’s centres they ask that you make contact with them no later than Friday 8th of August by contacting either of the following:
Mary Mooty email@example.com | 0404 60505
Bernie Fitzgerald firstname.lastname@example.org | 0404 60507
If you decide that you do not want to proceed with your training it is very important that you let WCCC know by emailing email@example.com
I would remind people that it will be a minimum requirement in September 2015 for all people working in the early years sector to have at least Fetac Level 5 in Childcare and Fetac Level 6 in Childcare if you are an ECCE room leader. If you are unsure of how this affects your position, please speak with your line manager or call us here on 0404 64455
If you have chosen a mode of study and wish to change it for another (for instance, if initially you had decided to study online but now wish to study in a classroom in place) there is a limited window of opportunity to change this. This involves the WCCC re-issuing you with a new confirmation email reflecting your new choice. If you would like to avail of this option, it is important that you contact Eugene Waters (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible.
