• “Getting it Right from the Start” – exploring links between Síolta & Aistear

    Barnardos is excited to launch a new series of public events Translating Evidence to Practice, which focuses on providing practitioners with a space to consider theories; new publications; research and current thinking, related to their work and to discuss implications for their practice. At this first event Professor Noirin Hayes will discuss her new publication ‘Getting it Right from the Start’ , which explores the links between Aistear and Siolta and how to effectively implement both.

    Professor Hayes will outline the seven life skills that children need in order to participate fully in life and will highlight the need for reflective work practices that support the development of these skills. Attendees will have an opportunity to take part in a lively discussion around key issues.
