• Forthcoming changes to HSE Regulations and switch to Registration Model – Information (inc. Workshops) for Providers

Posted on November 11, 2013 by in News Updates

Wicklow County Childcare were invited to Dr Steeven’s Hospital on Thursday 7th November for a briefing on the forthcoming changes to HSE Regulations and switch to a Registration Model. The briefing was given by Fiona McDonnell, who currently leads the early years inspectorate and contained a substantial amount of information regarding some very important changes that will affect providers and how they operate. Not all of the details of the changes have been confirmed as some are dependent on the details of the soon to be passed Child Protection Bill and Child and Family Agency Bill, through the Dáil.

For an overview of some of the key proposals in relation to the switch to Registration and what it means for providers, click here for a synopsis by our colleagues in the Association of Childhood Professionals

In an effort to raise awareness of the details of these proposals we are running a number of free information workshops throughout the county for providers, with additional HR advice on hand from our colleagues at CanavanByrne.
