• Consultation Seminars on Early Years Education-focused inspection

    DES LogoThe Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Skills is hosting a series of consultation seminars to discuss the progress to date on the development of a new Early Years Education-focused Inspection (EYEI) Model.

    These public events are open to all those who are interested in the quality of children’s early learning experiences in Early Years services delivering the ECCE Programme (the universal free preschool programme funded by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs).

    Each seminar will provide opportunity to access comprehensive information on the EYEI Model, hear the practical experiences of staff in Early Years settings who have participated in pilot inspections and discuss and provide feedback on the model. All feedback will be taken into account in finalising the EYEI model.

    At the Dublin and Letterkenny seminars, proceedings will be conducted bilingually, through the medium of Irish and English.

    Tá na hócáidí poiblí seo oscailte dóibh siúd uile a bhfuil spéis acu i gcáilíocht na n-eispéaras luath-óige ag páistí i seirbhísí Luath-Óige ina bhfuil fáil ar an gClár ECCE (an clár uilíoch réamhscoile saor in aisce atá maoinithe ag an Roinn Leanaí agus Gnóthaí Óige).

    Cuirfear deis ar fáil ag gach seimineár chun eolas cuimsitheach a rochtain ar an tSamhail, éisteacht le taithí praiticiúil na foirne i suíomhanna Luath-Óige a bhí páirteach sna cigireachtaí píolótacha agus aischothú a phlé agus a sholáthar maidir le EYEI. Tugtar an t-aiseolas go léir san áireamh agus an samhail á thabhairt chun críche.

    Step 1 – Click on the link or paste into your web browser and hit the return key

    Step 2 – Scroll down the list of seminars and decide on the location that suits you best. Note the date of that seminar

    Step 3 – Go to the drop down menu at the top of the page and select the date of the seminar you wish to attend.

    Step 4 – Return to the booking tab for your selected seminar which should now allow you the option to select 1 ticket and press the return key

    Step 5 – Complete the registration form as required to finish the booking.
