Early Years and School Age Capital 2018 Returns
Please be advised, all outstanding EYC and SAC capital returns must be submitted to Pobal by the 30th of November 2018. Any returns not submitted by that date WILL NOT receive the final 10% of the grant. Services that do not submit returns will be subject to funding being withdrawn and risk having to return the 90% of the grant that has already been paid.
CCS Bands 2018
The CCS bands have now been awarded to CCS 2018 registrations and the registrations have been approved.
Please review the bands awarded. Your CCS 2018 contract value will now match the total of your approved registrations and your payment schedule will adjust accordingly.
The band appeals window is now open until 31/12/2018.
Where the parent and child eligibility is based on medical card, GP visit card or DEASP allowance, the band currently awarded is based on our checks on the HSE & DEASP databases.
Where eligibility is based on PHN referral, Tusla referral, employment programme or CCS verification form, the band currently awarded is based on the eligibility documents submitted with the registration.

DCYA Monthly Bulletin
The Early Years Division of DCYA intends to publish a monthly electronic bulletin to all early years services in contract to deliver government childcare schemes. The e-Bulletin will update on operational matters relating to the administration of the Department’s schemes and initiatives.
In the first instance this e-Bulletin will issue to the email supplied by the Primary Authorised User in each service. Early Years Inspectorate Quality and Regulatory Framework Briefings 2018
**DUBLIN BRIEFINGS BOOKED OUT**
The briefings in the Clayton Hotel, Dublin Airport on 19/11/18 and the Citywest Hotel, Dublin on 10/12/18 are now both SOLD OUT. Therefore, the Inspectorate will not be in a position to accommodate anyone who turns up for one of these events without a ticket.

Childcare Professionals Conference – Why Inclusion? 24th November, Glenview Hotel
WCCC are delighted to host our Annual Childcare Professional’s Day on Sat 24th November, focusing on the theme of Inclusion, following on from the successful role out of the Equality Diversity and Inclusion training, which the majority of services have now completed. Based on your feedback we have tailored this day in order to explore the key areas identified as challenging for Early Years Educators.
Through fun interactive workshops and informative presentations hosted by Early Years Specialists, you will gain further knowledge and obtain useful strategies to bring back to your daily practice. A great team building day out, lunch included and a fantastic opportunity for networking with early years educators and providers.

We have a number of useful publications which we will be distributing to services in the coming weeks. In order to keep costs down and save on postage we will be giving them firstly to services who attend the Childcare Professionals Day.
